President Raisi orders probe into cases of schoolgirls’ poisoning

Tehran, IRNA – President Ebrahim Raisi ordered an immediate investigation into the cases of schoolgirls’ poisoning in several cities, including Tehran and Qom.

In the Wednesday cabinet meeting, President Raisi ordered Minister of Interior Ahmad Vahidi to immediately launch an investigation into the poisoning of schoolgirls in some Iranain cities in order to take away the worries of Iranian families.

Raisi also ordered the ministries of health and intelligence and other relevant parts of the governement to cooperate with the interior minister in the investigation.

It has been almost three months since the students of a number of girls’ schools in Iran have been involved in suspected poisonings. This incident started in Qom and after several cities and towns, it reached Tehran.
