The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed the political developments in Iraq and the region, and the role that Iraq plays in bringing the views of the parties closer together.
Al-Hakim said in a statement that he received President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid this evening and exchanged talks with him about the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region and the role that Iraq plays in bringing the views of the parties closer in a way that serves the countries of the region and achieves the interests of their peoples, as well as discussing climate changes, water scarcity and ways transcend it.”
Al-Hakim indicated, during the meeting: “The current stability is the result of the sacrifices and blood made by the Iraqis of all components, and that maintaining stability and moving it from its current stage to the stage of permanent stability is everyone’s responsibility.”
Al-Hakim and the President of the Republic affirmed that “Iraq has overcome many problems, including the image of Iraq regionally and internationally, as the world today looks at Iraq with high respect and appreciation, and this is what will contribute to the flow of investments and capital to Iraq.”
Al-Hakim explained: “The next challenge is an economic challenge centered on leaving the rentier state to the productive and diversified state,” stressing the need to activate productive sectors such as agriculture, industry, tourism, investment and technology.
