The meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board was held this Tuesday morning, chaired by Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi. During the meeting, the President stressed the need to prepare a comprehensive plan on the country’s energy needs.
Mr Raisi also reminded the necessity of managing the production, supply and consumption of electricity in the country, maximum use of domestic power for the construction of power plants and forecasts for winter fuel supply of power plants.
At today’s meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board, the Ministry of Energy presented its plan for managing electricity supply and demand.
The programme includes various chapters, including the importance of stabilising and securing electricity supply, improving the business environment in the power generation sector, and focusing on network management and electricity transit, renewable energy development, and the modernisation of the electricity industry.
