Presidents of Cameroon, Mali felicitate Iran president-elect

Tehran, IRNA – Presidents of Cameroon and Mali have sent separate messages to president-elect Ebrahim Raisi to congratulate his victory in Iran’s June 18 presidential election.

According to the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nigeria, Cameroon’s President Paul Biya felicitated president-elect Raisi and called for expansion of ties with Tehran.

In the message, Biya expressed hope for Raisi’s success in his new responsibility.

According to Iran’s embassy in Republic of Mali, Assimi Goita, President of Mali, sent a message on behalf of his government and the Malian people to the Iranian president-elect to congratulate Raisi’s victory in the presidential election.

Goita expressed readiness to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran in a bid to strengthen and upgrade high-level and friendly ties between the two nations.
