Public Security Directorate Calls for Ignoring Fake Advertisements on Social Media Networks

Riyadh: The General Directorate of Public Security has issued a warning to citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to disregard fraudulent advertisements circulating on social media platforms. These ads falsely claim to facilitate various aspects of Hajj, including performing Hajj on behalf of others, securing and distributing Adahi (sacrifices), selling Hajj bracelets, providing transportation, and other deceptive offers by anonymous individuals and entities.

The directorate emphasized that severe penalties will be imposed on individuals apprehended for engaging in such fraudulent activities.

Furthermore, the directorate highlighted that the Project for Utilization of Hady and Adahi is the only official platform authorized to sell and promote Adahi bonds. These bonds can be purchased through the project’s official website, adahi.org, or via the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work, or by contacting the unified number 920020193.

Public Security also urged citizens and residents to stri
ctly adhere to Hajj regulations and guidelines. Any violations should be promptly reported by calling the numbers (911) in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, or (999) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom.
