Raisi: Nicaraguan Revolution always been well known for Iranians

Tehran, IRNA – President Ebrahim Raisi said that the Nicaraguan Revolution has always been well known for the Iranians.

In a meeting with visiting Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Ronaldo Moncada on Wednesday evening, he further noted that the continuation of the revolutionary mood among the youth guarantees national independence.

He said resistance against the unjust US intentions has turned Nicaragua into a role model for the Latin American countries and the anti-oppression movements in that region’s countries.

Pointing out that the Nicaraguan Revolution is well known for Iranians, President Raisi said that Iranian people have always wished success for the revolutionary Nicaraguan people, and as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has emphasized, the revolutionary spirit must always remain brisk and fresh, especially among the young generation.

The leaders of the Nicaraguan Revolution, too, should not let the passage of time to weaken the revolutionary spirit among the people and especially among the Nicaraguan youth, added Raisi.

President Raisi evaluated the bilateral ties as good and constructive, reiterating: Of course the current level of relations is not sufficient and precise surveys are needed to identify the capacities in both countries, since long and serious steps aimed at further improving the level of our relations need to be taken.

The Nicaraguan Foreign Minister, too, conveyed the warm salutations and congratulation of the Nicaraguan president to President Raisi as the head of Iran’s 13th government and reiterated that Nicaragua proceeds with materializing the objectives of its revolution, and safeguards the shared objectives of the revolutionary countries, especially campaign against the global oppression.

Moncada also reiterated that stable and solid structures aimed at strengthening the constructive bilateral ties must be designed and implemented.
