Raisi terms Iran, Russia cooperation as unilateralism deterrent

 

Tehran, IRNA – President Ebrahim Raisi in a meeting with Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation said that Ira and Russia cooperation and ties expansion is a deterrent against unilateralism.

Riaisi on Thursday in the meeting of  Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin expressed hope that a comprehensive document of cooperation between the two countries be finalized, noting that the Iranian-Russian  ties could be an effective factor.

“We are content with the progress and economic growth of Russia in our efforts, and we are determined to implement the resistive economy policies with the objective of promoting economic impulses, especially in the time of US sanctions,” Raisi said noting that that there is no obstacle to comprehensive development of relations between the two countries.

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, for his part in this meeting, highlighted the necessity of boosting the level of cooperation between the two countries in all fields abd Russian parliament’s readiness to contribute to this regard, affirmed that your the offer to finalize a document will transfer Iran and Russia to Putin .

Volodin added that the relations between the two countries is not in the desired level and we will also do our best to accelerate the policy of boosting relations with Iran in the framework of parliamentary ties.

“Sanctions against Iran and Russia were set to weaken our countries, but we will overcome these barriers to spread the interaction and progress,” Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation said.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will take the oath of office before parliament in the presence of the Judiciary chief and members of the Expediency Council and foreign guests in Tehran on Thursday.

The swearing-in of the president in Iran is based on Article 121 of the constitution. According to the constitution, in the swearing-in ceremony, the Judiciary chief and members of the Expediency Council should be present in the parliament.
