Emphasising the need to prevent profiteering interventions in the foreign exchange market, the President instructed the related agencies to take their duties seriously in this regard.
Speaking on Tuesday night in a meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the identification of profiteering interventions and conspiracies to disrupt the stability of the foreign exchange market, and clarified, “The related agencies should take their duties seriously in this regard”.
The President described the coherence and coordinated action of the responsible institutions in managing and organising the foreign exchange market as necessary.
In this meeting, by dividing the work and duties of different agencies, it was decided that stability and normal conditions return to the foreign exchange market for management in the foreign exchange market by obtaining the necessary permits from the responsible institutions and based on facts.
