Russian Security Council: We will not allow nuclear weapons to fall into the hands of bandits

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, confirmed that the country’s authorities will not allow nuclear weapons to fall into the hands of bandits.

Medvedev said, according to the “Russia Today” news channel on Saturday: “There have been no such situations in the history of mankind when the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons is under the control of bandits,” describing the armed insurrection as “a deliberate and planned operation.”

He stressed that such a crisis would not be limited to one country, stressing that “the world will be on the brink of destruction.”

Today, the forces of the “Wagner” special military group have captured the headquarters of the Southern Military District in the Rostov-on-Don province.

Russian President Vladimir Putin described the rebels’ actions as “a criminal adventure, a stab in the back for Russia and treachery.”

The Russian Federal Security Service filed a lawsuit against the founder of “Wagner”, Yevgeny Prigozhin, on the charge of organizing an armed insurrection.
