Tehran, IRNA – A member of Sana’a National Delegation welcomed rapprochement talks between Iran and other countries in West Asia.
Abdul-Malik Alejri said in a tweet on Monday that Sana’a welcomed any rapprochement between the countries of the region.
He called on the “invading states” to stop playing on Yemen and using the tool of the “Iranian bogeyman” to destroy the country, violate its sovereignty, and interfere in its internal affairs because such a tool would only deceive their mercenaries.
Dealing with Yemen as an independent and sovereign state is a fundamental issue for the security and stability of the region, Alejri added.
The tweet comes as Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has recently said that Baghdad was preparing for a meeting between Iran and Saudi Arabia at the foreign minister level.
Tehran and Riyadh have held five rounds of talks in Baghdad, so far.
