Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf have signed an agreement to establish the Saudi-Algerian Supreme Coordination Council. The establishment of the Saudi-Algerian Supreme Coordination Council aims to expand bilateral relations and strengthen their cooperation in all areas.
The agreement was signed during the meeting of the fourth session of the Saudi-Algerian Political Consultations Committee, which was presided over by the ministers. The meeting was held in Jeddah, where Prince Faisal bin Farhan received Attaf and his delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed the strong fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Algeria and their peoples. They explored ways to enhance and develop their bilateral relations in a manner that will benefit both countries. Also, they discussed regional and international developments and their joint efforts to promote international security and peace.
In addition, they discussed the possibility of stepping up bilateral and multilateral coordination. The ministers also talked about enhancing their joint efforts on various regional and international issues to strengthen stability and prosperity for the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
Dr. Sami Al-Saleh, Assistant Minister of State for Arab and African Countries’ Affairs, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Busairi, Saudi Ambassador to Algeria, and Fahd Al-Harthi, Director General of the General Administration of the Secretariats of Councils and Committees, attended the meeting
