Saudi Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire Inspects Makkah Route Initiative Lounge at Abidjan International Airport

Abidjan, Saudi Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire Saad Al-Qathami inspected today the lounge designated for the Makkah Route Initiative at Abidjan International Airport, in Côte d’Ivoire, to assess the level of services that facilitate the pilgrims’ travel procedures.

Al-Qathami stressed the keenness of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to harness all Saudi capabilities to serve pilgrims.

He praised the initiative and the employees involved in it, the participating entities for the services and facilities they provide pilgrims in the performance of Hajj rituals, and for the positive impact the initiative has on the official, religious and media authorities in Côte d’Ivoire for the second year in a row.

The Makkah Route Initiative is part of the Ministry of Interior’s Pilgrim Experience Program (PEP), an outstanding pillar of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Now
in its sixth year, the initiative is carried out in cooperation with a host public and semi-governmental authorities, including the ministries of foreign affairs, health, Hajj and Umrah and media, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, and PEP.
