Saudi Arabia Condemns Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli Officials and Settlers

Riyadh, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed condemnation of the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by a number of Israeli occupation government officials, members of the Knesset, and extremist settlers.

In a statement Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also denounced the Israeli authorities for allowing extremists to organize a provocative march in the occupied city of Jerusalem, protected by occupation forces.

The Kingdom affirms that these violations are a deliberate provocation to the sentiments of Muslims worldwide, particularly in light of the ongoing war and acts of violence perpetrated against innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Furthermore, the Kingdom emphasizes that these systematic violations constitute a flagrant violation of relevant international resolutions and a breach of the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its sanctities.

The ministry added that such practices undermine efforts for a just and lasting peace with the establishm
ent of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with east Jerusalem as its capital.
