Saudi Embassy in Niger Celebrates Winners of Holy Quran Memorization Competition


Niamey, The embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Niger held a ceremony at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud University in the capital, Niamey, to honor the winners of the Holy Quran Memorization Competition for university students. The ceremony was organized by the Saudi educational mission in Niger.

A documentary film was shown on the great effort by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enable pilgrims to perform Hajj and Umrah with ease and convenience.

The Saudi ambassador to the Republic of Niger, Dr. Zaid bin Mukhlad Al-Harbi, highlighted in a speech that the competition comes within the efforts of the government of the Kingdom to serve the Holy Quran. He urged Muslim youth to memorize it and adhere to its divine teachings.

Islamic University of Niger President Dr. Jamal Taher commended the Kingdom’s efforts to provide and distribute the Holy Quran to the world and to Niger in particular.

At the end of the ceremony, the Saudi ambassador and the guests toured a photo
exhibition held by the embassy that shows the efforts made by the Kingdom to serve pilgrims and taking care of the Two Holy Mosques.
