Saudi Representative to OIC Receives IPHRC Executive Director

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani, received in Jeddah today, the Executive Director of the OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC), Dr. Noura bint Zaid Al-Rashoud.

Al-Suhaibani congratulated Dr. Al-Rashoud on her appointment to this position, as the first woman to be elected since the establishment of the commission, to continue her duties in serving the human rights aspect that concerns the organization, praising the commission’s efforts aimed at protecting and promoting human rights in Islamic countries and Muslim minorities in Non-Islamic societies.

Dr. Al-Rashoud expressed her sincere appreciation to the Kingdom for its support for the commission, which represents one of the central bodies of the OIC, noting that the kingdom has spared no effort in supporting the commission since it was established in 2011, including the kingdom’s initiative to establish its independent headquarters.
