Saudi Team Secures Medals at Nuclear Science Olympiad

The Saudi nuclear science team has secured four global medals at the 1st 2024 International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO), held in the Philippines. Fifty-five students from 14 countries participated from July 31 to August 7.

A Saudi student who represented the Eastern Region Education Department won the silver medal. Additionally, three of his teammates, representing both Al-Ahsa and Jeddah education departments, secured the bronze medal.

Secretary General of King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa has congratulated the winners. She emphasized that this achievement is the outcome of the substantial and ongoing efforts and collaboration between Mawhiba, the Ministry of Education, and other supporting entities.

Al-Hazzaa also commended the consistent and significant support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to gifted and creative individuals across various fields, underlining the evident impact of this unwavering support on the students’
performance and their distinction compared to their peers in many advanced countries.
