Saudi Women in the Spotlight of the Makkah Route Initiative at Casablanca Airport

Casablanca, Saudi women have proudly represented themselves in various initiatives and at international forums.

During the Hajj season of 1445 AH, many Saudi women from the General Directorate of Passports played a crucial role in serving pilgrims and streamlining procedures, ensuring quick completion of their travel procedures. This remarkable effort was part of the Makkah Route Initiative at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, Morocco.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) visited the hall dedicated to the initiative and interviewed First Class Private Ghada Al-Qahtani who expressed pride and honor in serving pilgrims as part of the Makkah Route Initiative team.

First Class Private Nora Al-Olosh highlighted the initiative’s humanitarian aspect, as it provides comprehensive services and facilities to pilgrims. She mentioned the heartfelt appreciation of and gratitude expressed by pilgrims for the initiative workers and Saudi Arabia, which inspired her to take on more responsibilities.

Corporal Amtan A
l-Ahmadi emphasized the use of advanced technologies provided by the passports directorate, like facial recognition, fingerprint systems and self-service devices, which ensure smooth and secure travel procedures for pilgrims.

The Makkah Route Initiative is one of the Ministry of Interior’s projects part of the Pilgrim Experience Program envisaged in Saudi Vision 2030. It aims to provide top-quality services to pilgrims visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
