SBA Enhances Coverage of Hajj Season with Advanced Technologies and Various Programs


Makkah: The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) has completed its preparations to cover this year’s Hajj season with modern equipment and technologies, aiming for distinguished and comprehensive coverage of Hajj rituals.

This equipment includes upgraded broadcast devices and high-definition cameras, enabling 200 live coverages. SBA will deploy a team of more than 100 reporters and broadcasters and secure about 100 mobile cameras. They have also prepared over 700 news materials in 12 languages and established an operations room to support logistical services.

Specialized personnel have been provided to the production teams for field coverage and news editing. Mobile units have been added to broadcast reports from various locations in the holy sites.

SBA is also enhancing its digital platforms and applications to ensure quick and easy access to information for the public. This includes live broadcasts of prayers and significant events during the Hajj period and diverse content via social media platforms and t
he Authority’s official website. The aim is to keep the audience informed and connected, no matter where they are.

Additionally, the SBA has launched various programs aired on the Saudi Channel to cover the Hajj season. The most prominent program is “Hajj Mabroor,” which highlights the features of monotheism and unity in performing the Hajj, the sanctity of the Grand Mosque, and the rulings on sacrifice. It also engages the audience with guests specialized in Sharia and history. There will be programs presenting stories and daily services provided to pilgrims, along with reports on the experiences of pilgrims coming to Madinah and Makkah, making the audience feel a part of this significant event.
