SDAIA, Huawei Sign MoU to Empower National Leaderships in AI Technologies

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a program for training and developing talents in information technology and AI, aiming to empower individuals to lead the future of technological innovation in the Kingdom.

The MoU was signed by General Supervisor of the Capability Building Sector at SDAIA, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi and Vice President of Huawei, Ziad Al-Rashid, during the third edition of the Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit), which concludes today in Riyadh.

The memorandum entails collaboration in building national capacities by training and qualifying Saudi specialists in AI and technological fields. It also seeks to launch a joint promotional campaign to raise awareness about AI technologies among the public through AI publications, social media, and events.

This MoU is part of SDAIA’s efforts to launch training programs and boot camps to build and develop national capacities in data and AI, addressing the advanced t
echnological gap at the national level. It also aims to empower women, alongside other Saudis, to innovate and develop production, contributing to making the Kingdom a leading data- and AI-driven economy.
