SDAIA Invites the Public to Provide Feedback on Standard Contractual Terms for Personal Data Transfer

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has invited the public and relevant stakeholders to provide feedback on the standard contractual terms for the transfer of personal data. This can be done through the unified electronic platform Istitlaa, which is managed by the National Competitiveness Center. The feedback period is open until August 30, 2024.

The purpose of the document is to establish standard contractual terms for contracts and agreements that involve transferring personal data outside the Kingdom to countries or international organizations not included on the list of entities with adequate protection levels for personal data. SDAIA’s initiative to launch this survey reflects its commitment to ensuring that the protection of personal data outside the Kingdom meets or exceeds the standards set by the Personal Data Protection Law and its executive regulations.
