SDAIA, Oliver Wyman to Accelerate AI Adoption in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm and subsidiary of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at enhancing Saudi Arabia’s capabilities in artificial intelligence.

This collaboration will culminate in the launch of the “Kingdom AIQ Framework” within the next 12 months. The memorandum was signed by Chief Executive of the Strategy Management Office at SDAIA Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Khudairi and Partner at Oliver Wyman in Saudi Arabia Abdulelah AlBarrak during the third edition of the Global AI Summit, held in Riyadh from September 10-12, 2024.

The summit featured over 450 speakers and was attended by AI experts, specialists, and decision-makers from 100 countries around the world.

The “Kingdom AIQ Framework” builds on the ongoing efforts to enhance generative AI capabilities in Saudi Arabia, leveraging the recommendations and insights from the joint report on generative AI technologies by SDAIA

The report examines the current state of generative AI in the Kingdom, identifies best practices across various fields, and provides the “Kingdom AIQ Framework” as a reference for assessing the maturity and readiness of government entities and Saudi organizations.
