Senior official says US has asked for direct talks with Iran “thirty-odd” times

Tehran, IRNA – Mohammad Jamshidi, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, said on Tuesday that the United States has made “thirty-odd” requests for direct talks with Iran.

If you are seeking to act strong on the eve of the elections, keep the thirty-odd requests for a direct meeting with Iran a secret, he tweeted in reaction to an interventionist tweet by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in which he had expressed support for street protests in Iran.

Biased advisors who feed you fake news make you untrustworthy, Jamshidi said.
