Specialized committees of 8th Iran-Qatar economic commission starts

Tehran, IRNA – Deputy Energy Minister for International Affairs Mohammad-Ali Farahnakian said on Sunday that specialized committees of the 8th Iran-Qatar Joint Economic Commission started in Doha.

Farahnakian said on Sunday that the officials of the two countries insist on increasing the level of interaction and trade ties between the two countries, officials of the countries want to move towards developing interaction and taking practical steps to achieve this goal.

According to Farahnakian, the most important achievement of holding specialized committees is facilitating trade development infrastructure, including trade, consulate, customs and other fields. In addition, holding the Qatar World Cup in the next five months has provided an exceptional opportunity for the region, particularly the two neighboring states.

According to media, 8th Iran-Qatar Economic Commission will be held on June 7.

During the event, the cooperation will be discussed in terms of some committees namely ‘Economic, Trade, and Industrial Committee’, ‘Banking and Financial Committee’, ‘Transport and IT Committee’, ‘Scientific, Health, Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Committee, and ‘Water and Energy Committee’.
