Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi, witnessed the signing ceremony of understanding memorandum between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the framework of strengthening their cooperation targeting Egyptian youth and refugees in Egypt.

Sobhi pointed to Egypt’s role in hosting refugees and providing them with decent livelihoods, pointing out the importance of sport in integrating refugee youth, and the role of training and rehabilitation programs in enabling refugee youth to find job opportunities.

Sobhi stressed that the memorandum of understanding is consistent with the vision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to transform youth centers into comprehensive spaces that meet the needs of young people, including refugees residing in Egypt, and provide young people with the necessary spaces to enhance their digital knowledge while also emphasizing the value of sports through multiple activities.
