Suitable environment provided to boost Iran-Pakistan trade ties: Commercial Attaché

Karachi, IRNA — The Commercial Attaché of Iran in Pakistan says suitable atmosphere has been provided to develop trade ties between Iran and Pakistan in recent years and taking advantage of each others’ economic opportunities.

Hossein Amini expressed these views during an interview with IRNA on the sidelines of 3rd International Consumer Product Fair in Karachi on Friday.

“Fortunately, the two countries are moving forward with a positive view and a constructive approach to facilitate trade ties and seizing each other’s opportunities,” he said.

Referring to the recent meeting of the Iran-Pakistan Joint Trade Committee in Tehran and the future plan to hold a joint economic commission in Islamabad, he added Iran and Pakistan economies’ are complementary, so apart from some technical issues, the two countries are determined to use more effective solutions to support the business community and expand trade together.

Amini said increasing the familiarity of Iranian and Pakistani businessmen and business community with each other’s capacities and capabilities in various fields is one of the effective ways to help increase economic interactions, and in this regard, holding trade fairs can play an effective role.

He considered the active presence of Iranian companies in the Pakistan International Trade Fair very effective in introducing our country’s capacities.

Emphasizing the importance of Iran’s policy to deepen relations with neighbors, Commercial Attaché of Iran said Pakistan, is an important neighbor with long common borders and can benefit from Iran’s capabilities in various fields to meet its needs.

The 3rd International Consumer Product Fair kicked off in Pakistan’s port city of Karachi on Friday with the participation of eight companies from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The participation of eight Iranian companies is the largest number of foreign companies in the event which will conclude on Sunday, February 27th after three days.

The Iranian companies are showing home appliances, confectionary products, soaps and detergents and health equipment in the event.

This is the second post-corona exhibition in the port city of Karachi and the first at Karachi Expo Center with Iran’s collaboration.
