Tehran, IRNA – The head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization of Iran said here on Monday that during his recent visit of Syria in Joint Iran-Syria Economic Commission among issues of mutual interest, a bilateral agreement was reached on dispatching pilgrims to Damascus.

Ali-Reza Rashidian made the comment in a meeting of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization planning and coordination council in which the plans on Iranian pilgrims’ trips to Iraq and Syria were discussed. The meeting was chaired by the Supreme Leader’s Representative in Hajj Pilgrimage Abdol-Fattah Navvab.

Rashidian said that thus far four 25-pilgrim groups have been dispatched to Damascus, adding that taking into consideration the fact that registrations have been done earlier in all provinces, the trips will be organized.
