Tens of Display Screens Help Health Awareness Efforts for Pilgrims in Madinah

Madinah: The Madinah Health Cluster has launched a health awareness campaign for pilgrims in several languages, to accompany them during their stay in Madinah.

The awareness campaign, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Madinah Development Authority, started as the first batch of pilgrims arrived in Madinah, at the beginning of Thul-Qi’dah. It involves 97 smart display screens at the Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the Haramain High Speed Railway station, shuttle buses, pilgrim reception centers, malls, and the health cluster’s facilities.

The campaign utilizes all types of media and social media platforms to publish awareness posts in English, French, Urdu, Persian, and Arabic, with the aim of delivering messages in a modern and easy manner.

Also part of the campaign are field tours by health personnel targeting places frequented by pilgrims, including hotels and accommodation facilities, in a bid to deliver health-related messages to pilgrims in s
everal languages, to ensure a safe and healthy Hajj.

The messages concern important issues, such as warnings about the dangers of direct sun exposure, heat exhaustion, dehydration, food poisoning, first aid, personal hygiene, and other areas of health awareness.
