The C130 plane landed on the runway of Mosul Airport, located south of Mosul.

The Governor of Nineveh, Najm al-Jubouri, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that “the landing of the aircraft was experimental, coinciding with the continuation of the airport’s reconstruction during the current year.”
