The Communications Commission Instructs Not To Publish Any Misleading Or Inaccurate News About The National Currency Or The Economic Sector

The Media and Communications Commission directed the media not to publish any misleading or inaccurate news about the national currency or the economic sector.

And based on the powers assigned to us in regulating the media, communications, and information technology sectors under Order (65) of 2004 in force, and in support of the national economy and preventing harm to the public and private interests of citizens, the Media and Communications Commission directs the media to refrain from publishing any misleading or inaccurate news on the national currency and the economic sector based on the media broadcasting rules issued by the Media and Communications Commission (Part Two/Article 3)… “The Commission obliges licensed media agencies to refrain from misleading the public by broadcasting any material containing false or inaccurate information, with the aim of defaming the reputation persons or companies, or harming the national economy and affecting public health and the environment.”

It indicated that “Otherwise, the media agencies shall bear legal accountability in accordance with the terms of the licensing contract and the powers assigned to the Media and Communications Commission and the laws in force.”/ End
