The Foreign Minister meets his Egyptian and Kuwaiti counterparts separately in Manama


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, met yesterday evening, Tuesday, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shukri, on the sidelines of the meetings of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers preparatory to the 33rd Arab Summit in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting, the Minister praised the integration of the relationship, which began to grow significantly through the summits held, and its contribution to strengthening political consultation and establishing a regional position, leading to building an effective Arab position in the region.

The two sides stressed that the relationship between Iraq and Egypt regulates the relationship at the level of the entire Arab region, indicating that relations between the two countries are developing significantly at various levels.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties stressed the need to convene the higher joint committee between the two countries as soon as possible.

context: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, met yesterday evening, Tuesday, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Ali Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, on the sidelines of the activities of the preparatory meeting of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers for the (33rd) Arab Summit, currently held in Bahrain.

During the meeting, they discussed the historical relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen ties by drawing up a strategy that frames this relationship in a direction that achieves common aspirations.

The Minister stressed that the 34th Arab Summit will be held in Baghdad, which will reflect positively on Iraq’s relations with its Arab brothers.

For his part, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister praised the development road project, which is considered one of the successful and important economic projects that will serve all countries of the region, praising the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani to Washington and describing
it as a historic visit as it represents a new strategy for the success of negotiations between Iraq and the United States, stressing that the stability of Iraq is considered stability for Kuwait and the region.
