The Integrity Commission Controls The Acquisition Of Real Estate Worth One Billion Dinars In Diyala

The Investigation Department of the Federal Integrity Commission revealed today, Tuesday, violations of real estate registration in the municipality of Baquba, with more than (1,000,000,000) dinars, and an amount of (111,000,000) dinars was wasted in one of the branches of the Agricultural Bank in Diyala Governorate.

In a statement, the department indicated that the team of the Diyala Investigation Office, which moved to the Baquba Municipality Directorate, monitored letters and papers for registering (3) distinct real estate in the city center that were registered in violation of the law and without formal allocation records, in addition to forging registration notes. Pointing out that the value of real estate belonging to the municipality exceeded (1,000,000,000) dinars, and it was acquired in cooperation with the former director of the Baquba municipality, who is currently detained in criminal cases that the commission investigated and referred to the judiciary.

It added that the team carried out two separate seizures at the Agricultural Cooperative Bank in the city of Muqdadiya, during which (5) agricultural loans were seized that were granted by the bank to two people in violation of the law using forged papers, pointing out that this led to a waste of public money amounting to (111,000,000), one hundred and eleven million dinars.

It continued, that in a separate operation in the Baquba Municipality Directorate – Human Resources Division, the original of a letter addressed to the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Diyala issued by the municipality containing the allocation of a plot of land to a citizen without a formal allocation record was seized./ End
