Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis, inaugurated today, Monday, the headquarters of the Strategic Development Road Project at the General Railways Company.
Al-Saadawi said, during the opening ceremony, that “the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Transport seek to strengthen Iraq’s position on the map of global trade and economy, as Iraq is working on the actual and serious initiation of development projects related to the development road, the port of Faw, and others,” stressing that “the road project strengthens regional partnerships and opens up horizons wide to its consolidation, leading to economic integration among all countries in the region, which our government seeks to embrace with the development road project.
He added that the development project constitutes one of the most prominent projects of the Ministry in the year 2023, stressing the continuation of the completion of this vital project because it represents a promising opportunity for the economic and developmental future of Iraq, indicating that “the development road project will achieve an economic renaissance in our new Iraq. It will also work on linking the East with the West, and maximizing the revenues of the state treasury.”
