The Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its thanks to Iraq for holding the extraordinary meeting and procedural proposals to confront the desecration of the Holy Qur’an.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said in a statement: “The member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Republic of Iraq for its initiative and its call to convene the extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the member states, and for the procedural proposals to confront the profanation of the Noble Qur’an and the hate speech presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein in his speech at the meeting.
