Baghdad / The forces of the Second Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces carried out a pre-emptive security operation in the Najaf desert in anticipation of any security threat.
A statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority stated that the operation was carried out in cooperation with the security services, as a field survey of the desert was conducted at a distance of 155 km and a depth of 50 km.
He explained that the Second Brigade holds the Najaf desert area and deploys observation towers, in addition to establishing a security trench along a latitude of more than 80 km, in cooperation with the security forces to protect the Holy Najaf Governorate.
