The President of the Republic congratulates Al-Masoudi on the Iraqi Hajj delegation winning the first place for the best Hajj delegation representing their country

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, discussed with the head of the Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah, Sami Omran Al-Masoudi, the conditions of the Iraqi pilgrims who participated in the Hajj season this year.

The media office of the presidency said in a statement, “The President of the Republic received today, Tuesday, at the Baghdad Palace, the head of the Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah, Sami Imran Al-Masoudi, and his accompanying delegation.”

The statement added, “The President of the Republic congratulated Al-Masoudi on the occasion of the Iraqi Hajj delegation winning the first place for the best Hajj mission representing their country this season, winning the award (for Betam) and obtaining the highest evaluation rate for the Hijri year 1444.”

The statement indicated, “During the meeting, the conditions of the regiments of Iraqi pilgrims who participated in the Hajj season this year were discussed, where the President expressed his pride in the efforts made by the Commission in order to preserve the health and safety of the pilgrims, help them complete the Hajj rituals, and continuously supervise their comfort and secure their return to the homeland.

For his part, Al-Masoudi and the rest of the delegation extended their thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for his keenness and interest in the situation of Iraqi pilgrims, stressing the continuation of the Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah to provide the necessary services to the pilgrims from the beginning of their delegation until the completion of their rituals.
