The Turkish FM: The Perpetrators Of The Suicide Attack On The Interior Ministry Headquarters In Ankara Came From Syria

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan revealed that the two suicide bombers who attacked the Internal Security Command in Ankara started from Syria, stressing that the PKK positions became legitimate targets for the Turkish army after this operation.

Fidan said in a press conference today: As a result of investigations by our security forces, it was proven that the two terrorists who carried out the attack in Ankara came from Syria and were trained there.

He added: From now on, all infrastructure, superstructure, and energy sites belonging to the PKK in northern Iraq and Syria are legitimate targets for the Turkish army.

He also said: The response of the Turkish Armed Forces to the terrorist attack in Ankara “will be very clear and the terrorists will once again regret committing such an act.”

Last Sunday morning, two suicide bombers attacked the Security Directorate in the capital, Ankara. The first blew himself up near the directorate’s gate, while the security forces charged with protecting the directorate were able to kill the other attacker before he could blow himself up, wounding two police officers.

A few hours after the attack, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) announced its responsibility for the suicide attack.

On the other hand, the Turkish Ministry of the Interior revealed that the perpetrators of the attack were Hasan Oguz, known as “Kinevar Erdal,” and Ozkan Sahin.
