They signed a strategic partnership agreement.. Putin: Russia and North Korea will not accept the language of blackmail and dictates

Russian President, Vladimir Putin, announced today, Wednesday, following his discussions with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the two countries, while stating that Russia and North Korea follow an independent foreign policy and will not accept the language of blackmail and dictates.

Putin explained in a speech after the discussions, ‘The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, which the two countries signed with the participation of their delegations, stipulates the provision of mutual assistance in the event of aggression against either party to the agreement.’

He described the agreement as a real achievement document that will allow the two countries to raise cooperation to a new level, and also specified broad tasks and guidelines to deepen Russian-Korean relations in the long term, explaining that ‘this applies to the political, trade, investment, cultural and humanitarian fields, as well as the security field.’

The Russian President stre
ssed that “the development of military-technical cooperation with North Korea will take place in accordance with the treaty signed between the two countries.” He pointed to the statements of the United States and other NATO countries regarding the supply of high-precision long-range weapons systems, F-16 aircraft, and other similar weapons and equipment to strike Russian territory, which is a flagrant violation of international conventions that Western countries bear the responsibility to abide by.
