To enhance cooperation.. Barakat meets the Minister of Agriculture and Economy

Ramallah Together – In a step aimed at strengthening cooperation between various government agencies, the Commander of the Customs Police Service, Major General Iyad Barakat, held separate meetings with the Ministers of Agriculture and Economy.

During the meeting, a number of topics of common interest were discussed between the agency and the ministry, and multiple issues related to combating smuggling and illicit trade in agricultural products were touched upon.

In addition, existing procedures were reviewed and evaluated, and new plans were discussed to enhance oversight of agricultural products to ensure their safety and quality in the local market.

At the end of the meeting, the Commander of the Service, Major General Barakat, and Minister Salimiyeh expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation existing between the Service and the Ministry, stressing the need to strengthen and develop it in the future.

Also, with the aim of strengthening c
ooperation in the field of regulating economic activities and combating smuggling and illicit trade, Barakat met with the Minister of National Economy, Mohamed Al-Amour, today, Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed, ways of enhancing cooperation between the agency and the ministry were discussed, and the importance of enhancing coordination and exchange of information between the agency and the ministry was emphasized to combat economic crimes, ensure market safety, and protect consumer rights.

At the end of the meeting, the Commander of the Agency, Major General Barakat, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Minister Al-Amour for hosting him, and stressed the importance of continuing joint cooperation and exchanging information to achieve common goals in the field of market supervision, regulation of economic activities, and enhancing the ability to address the economic and security challenges facing the country.
