Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir said Sunday he wants to achieve state goals of increasing exports to various global markets to reach USD 100 billion annually through developing Egyptian products, increasing competitive value, and opening new markets for Egyptian products abroad.

This came during a visit to Nile University to participate in ‘Nile Salon.’

University President Dr. Wael Akl, and faculty members and deans of colleges, were also present.

Samir praised the academic and research role played by Nile University in serving the national economy and the local community as it is one of the first universities to link academic specializations with industry.

Samir called on businessmen to take advantage of the creative student energies at the university to serve the industry.
