Transport General Authority Ready for Hajj Season with Over 27,000 Modern Buses

Riyadh: In preparation for the Hajj season of 1445 AH, the Transport General Authority (TGA) has announced its comprehensive plan to ensure a smooth and efficient transportation of pilgrims.

TGA is deploying over 27,000 modern buses to serve pilgrims during this sacred period. This extensive fleet includes more than 3,500 buses that transport pilgrims to and from the Grand Holy Mosque of Makkah. They will operate on 16 designated routes, with 11 stops and stations strategically positioned to facilitate the pilgrims’ easy access to their destinations.

Furthermore, TGA has allocated 355 buses for public transportation within Makkah and 27 buses within Madinah, to provide pilgrims with convenient and reliable transportation options throughout their Hajj journey.

The authority emphasized the need to maintain public decorum while utilizing the buses. This includes adhering to the smoking and eating ban on the buses, to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for all passengers. It also advised pilgrims to re
frain from loud phone conversations to respect the privacy and comfort of fellow passengers.

TGA prioritizes the well-being and rights of all bus users by ensuring that drivers adhere to public etiquette, treat passengers with respect, and maintain passenger privacy.

The authority further ensures easy access to buses for individuals with disabilities.

For journeys exceeding three hours that encounter delays of more than an hour, passengers can expect complimentary meals and refreshments.

TGA also has a dedicated number for passengers wishing to report any issues that may arise during travel. Passengers can reach out by calling the unified number 19929, or through the X platform via the customer care account @TGA_CARE.

By implementing these comprehensive measures, TGA aims to provide a seamless, dignified, and well-supported transportation experience for pilgrims undertaking the sacred Hajj.
