Minister of Transport Kamel el Wazir handed over contracts for new housing units to compensate those affected by the first line project of High Speed Rail (HSR) of Sokhna-Alamein-Matrouh.

Some 109 new housing units were handed over to the occupants in Kafr el Alou area, Helwan district, Cairo Governorate, as the first stage.

The total number of 226 new apartments were purchased by Ministry of Transport for those affected by HSR.

Ground and first floors will be assigned for the elderly and people of special need, said Wazir.

A lottery took place within the framework of coordination between the Ministries of Transport and Housing and the Cairo Governorate to provide a number of residential units at 90M in el Zohour area, May 15th City.
