Transport Minister Inaugurates Center for Business Continuity at Mawani

Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser inaugurated the command, control, and capacity building center to ensure business continuity at the headquarters of the Saudi Ports Authority “Mawani” in Riyadh.

Al-Jasser, who also is chairman of Mawani, inaugurated the center in the presence of the authority’s president, Omar Hariri, reflecting Mawani’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of Saudi ports.

These endeavors aim to ensure the continuity of maritime port operations across the Kingdom, as well as cargo handling operations, while ensuring operational asset readiness and maintaining full preparedness to face any potential risks, including natural and environmental disasters.

Mawani’s efforts align with the targets of the National Transport Strategy, which aims to consolidate the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics center and a hub connecting three continents.

The center contributes to crisis management in collaboration with the relevant authorities, utilizing advanced prog
rams and systems that assist in data collection and analysis. It helps to issue appropriate guidance for decision-makers, fostering trust and sustainable relationship among the relevant parties.

The center works on coordinating and integrating all activities and operations across various government sectors and levels to ensure business continuity. Its responsibilities also encompass coordinating efforts among different entities as well as training and developing human resources to ensure their high efficiency in addressing various risks.
