The Turkish Minister of Trade, Omer Polat, arrived in Baghdad on an official visit.
A statement by the Ministry of Commerce said, “The Minister of Trade Atheer Al-Ghurairy, received this evening, Monday, his Turkish counterpart, Omar Polat, who is on an official visit to Iraq, accompanied by representatives of the business world in Turkey.”
Minister Al-Ghurairy added, “The visit of his Turkish counterpart and the accompanying delegation comes to hold talks and meetings with the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister and a number of ministers and representatives of the Iraqi private sector,” noting that “these discussions will deal with ways to strengthen the existing economic and trade relations between the two countries and increase the volume of exchange trade, and strengthening the role of Turkish companies to enter into partnerships with the Iraqi sectors in a way that serves the interests of the two neighboring countries.”/ End
