Turkiye’s new ambassador meets with Iran’s FM

Tehran, IRNA – The new ambassador of Republic of Turkiye to the Islamic Republic of Iran in a meeting on Sunday evening presented a copy of his credentials to Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian.

Turkiye’s new Ambassador Hijabi Kirlanqich was born in the year 1966 in Amasya, Turkiye, and completed his university studies up to the PhD level in University of Ankara.

In his first meeting with the Iranian foreign minister, Kirlanqich presented a copy of his credentials to him.

Kirlanqich has replaced former Turkish ambassador to Tehran Darya Urus.

In the year 1998 Kirlanqich started studying Persian language and literature in Faculty of Literature of the University of Ankara and completed his BA, MA, and PhD studies, after studying various interpretations of Hafez, Rumi, some Gnosticism and comparative literature courses, after which he started teaching some of those courses at the same university.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Rumi Studies Association of Turkey and the Union of Turkish Writers.
