Ukraine’s Usyk Beats Britain’s Fury to Become Undisputed Champion at ‘Ring of Fire’ Fight in Riyadh


Riyadh: In a night full of thrilling moments at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk yesterday defeated British boxer Tyson Fury by a split decision at the Ring of Fire bout.

This decision saw Usyk become boxing’s first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion.

In the undercard rounds, Sweden’s Robin Sirwan Safar faced off against Russia’s Sergey Kovalev and won by unanimous decision in the cruiserweight category.

Ukrainian champion Daniel Lapin defeated Octavio Pudivtr in the first round.

David Nyika from New Zealand beat German Michael Seitz in round four with a technical knockout.

British boxer Isaac Lowe claimed the International Featherweight Championship belt by winning in the fight with boxer Hasibullah Ahmadi from Afghanistan.

In the heavyweight category, British boxer Moses Itaum defeated German boxer Ilija Mezencev with a technical knockout in the second round.

German heavyweight Agit Kabayel scored a big win over unbeaten Frank Sanchez of Cuba.

In the lightweight cat
egory, British boxer Mark Chamberlain defeated Nigerian Joshua Wahab and won the WBC Silver title.
