Under the Patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Riyadh to Host Global Labor Market Conference in January

Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development will host the 2nd edition of the Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC) in Riyadh on January 29-30, 2025.

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi expressed appreciation for the generous sponsorship and emphasized its positive impact on the Kingdom’s efforts to modernize labor market practices, bringing them in line with international standards.

He said this edition be a global platform for dialogue to address opportunities and challenges, and to develop strategic solutions that align with the ambitious goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

He said the conference will play an important role in solidifying GLMC’s position as a premier platform and think tank dedicated to labor market research. By fostering dialogue, sharing knowledge, and collaborating with partners like the International Labor Organization, the World Bank, and the U
nited Nations Development Programme, GLMC aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem for global labor markets.

The conference, expected to bring together over 40 labor ministers, will spearhead global discussions on the future of labor. At panel discussions and workshops featuring more than 200 speakers from 50 countries, attendees will exchange ideas, experience, and best practices to drive positive change in labor practices.

The conference seeks to bridge labor market gaps and provide actionable insight for stakeholders. By addressing challenges, attracting top young talent, and setting global standards of excellence, the conference will equip participants to navigate the evolving labor landscape.
