United Nations: 2.2 million Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank need humanitarian aid and protection

The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory confirmed that about 2.2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank need humanitarian assistance or protection.

The office stated, “The escalation in Gaza and its surroundings has led to the displacement of thousands, and exacerbated the difficult living conditions of many.

The office said on the X website: “The Humanitarian Fund for the Occupied Palestinian Territories and its partners provided life-saving health supplies and emergency medicines, with the beginning of the escalation, to enable the health sector in Gaza to respond to the increasing needs.”
