Uzbekistan Minister of Religious Affairs Pays Tribute to Saudi Arabia’s Care, Attention to Pilgrims


Makkah: Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nur al-Din Khaliq Nazr, who also serves as his country’s Grand Mufti, has praised the care and attention given by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pilgrims, commending its keenness to provide them high-standard services so that they can perform the fifth pillar of Islam with ease and tranquility.

In remarks following his inspection tour of the sites of his country’s pilgrims in Mina and Arafat, accompanied by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish, European, American and Australian Pilgrims Company Dr. Tariq Hassan Koshak, Nazr stressed that pilgrims realize that every year there are more services, capabilities, projects and facilities in all areas concerned with their journey of faith.

Nazr thanked and expressed appreciation for the leadership of the Kingdom and all those caring for pilgrims for their great services, which enable pilgrims to worship and perform their rituals in an atmosphere of utter safety and security.

At the s
ame time, Deputy Mufti of Uzbekistan and President of the Islamic University in Tashkent Professor Muhammad Alam Muhammad Siddiq said that the preparations this year were at a very high level, and all the needs of the pilgrims are met, adding that this year’s Hajj season 1445 H, 15,000 people from his country perform Hajj.
