WAMY Commends Saudi Arabia’s Medical Efforts on World Patient Safety Day


The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s significant contributions to the medical sector in recognition of World Patient Safety Day, celebrated annually on September 17. The assembly highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting and enhancing its healthcare sector, developing medical facilities, and upgrading healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of optimal patient care. These initiatives align with broader goals of public health and safety.

WAMY noted that this focus on patient safety and healthcare development is a core component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The Vision aims to restructure the healthcare system to prioritize individual and societal needs, fostering public health, disease prevention, and improved access to quality healthcare services. These efforts also aim to enhance the efficiency and quality of services provided, as well as raise patient satisfaction.

The assembly also drew attention to Saudi Arabia’s ongoing global health initi
atives, which include medical programs and convoys organized by charitable institutions. These efforts encompass the establishment of clinics, centers, and hospitals in underserved and remote areas worldwide, reflecting the Kingdom’s humanitarian commitment to improving global health outcomes.
