Tehran, IRNA – The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry criticized the Western officials on Thursday for abusing International Women’s Day to raise a political subject.
Instead of being an incentive for the West to contemplate its tragic record in interaction with rights of women and families, the Day has been turned into a political subject for them, Nasser Kanaani wrote on his Twitter account.
The United States and some arrogant European countries have an appalling record of violating basic human rights in their own societies and across the world, and thus are in no position to be the advocates of human rights and the rights of women, Kanaani tweeted.
They owe to the world for the human rights and the rights of the women.
